Dr. Shivasakthy Manivasakan – Domain Expert in Prosthodontics & AI-Driven Research
Dr. Shivasakthy Manivasakan is a distinguished Health Professions Educationist, Prosthodontist and an esteemed member of the Quaisec Labs team, where she contributes her extensive expertise in dentistry, education and research to the development of AI-powered solutions in the field. Currently serving as the Director of the Institute of Health Professions Education (IHPE) and a Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University, Puducherry, Dr. Manivasakan holds a BDS, MDS, PGDHPE, PhD, and is a Member of the Faculty of Dentistry at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (MFDS RCPSG). Her academic journey is marked by accolades such as the Shri Gurucharan Das Endowment Medal for Best Ph.D. Scholar and the Best Teacher Award 2020. She has also been recognized with the Best Researcher Award 2022 in International Research Awards on Science, Technology, and Management.
Dr. Manivasakan's research interests encompass health professions education, prosthodontics, and the integration of artificial intelligence in practice. Her work explores the application of AI in areas such as AI-driven academic administration tools to facilitate the faculty, students and the administrators and diagnostic imaging, treatment planning, and the development of AI-driven educational tools for dental professionals. She is also evaluating the performance of AI chatbots in answering questions related to her field.
